PCS Vietnam has reached a historic milestone as its Ho Chi Minh City branch becomes the first in Vietnam to receive Halal Logistics certification from the Halal National Certification Centre (HALCERT). This achievement positions PCS to connect supply chains with the global Halal market, projected to reach a minimum value of USD 5 trillion by 2030.
Halal Logistics Certification marks a strategic turning point for the PCS Ho Chi Minh City Branch
On July 30, 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City branch of PCS Vietnam became the first in the country to receive Halal Logistics certification from the Halal National Certification Centre (HALCERT). The ceremony was attended by Ms. Bui Thi Huong, Director of PCS Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Ramlan Bin Osman, Director of HALCERT, and Mr. Tran Quoc Dung, Director of QUATEST 3, marking a significant step forward in strengthening the Halal supply chain.
The certification journey began in April 2025, when PCS Vietnam representatives joined a Halal-focused workshop organized by VCCI and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. This was followed by completing a training program on May 28, 2025, which covered Halal principles, including Halal, Haram, Shubha, and Toyyiban, procedures to prevent cross-contamination, pest control, and Halal warehouse management. The program also included four intensive days on TCVN 12944:2020 (Halal food) and MS 2400-1&2:2019 (Halal supply chain).
To comply with Halal requirements, the Ho Chi Minh City branch operates two dedicated Halal warehouses in Lam Son (Ho Chi Minh City) and Long An, along with a fleet of 20 trucks ranging from 500 kg to 3.5 tons that exclusively transport Halal goods. All warehouses and vehicles undergo cleansing with purified water according to Shariah practices to ensure compliance with Halal standards.
At the event, Ms. Bui Thi Huong shared, “Muslim communities value honesty and humanity, which align closely with the philosophy of PCS. We will continue to learn and enhance our operations to meet Halal standards.” The certification enables PCS Ho Chi Minh City to operate a fully Shariah supply chain covering production, distribution, and market connection, laying a solid foundation to link with the global Halal market.
Opening pathways to the USD 5 trillion Halal Market
Halal logistics requires strict procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure full Shariah compliance across warehousing and transportation. According to Mr. Tran Quoc Dung, the global Halal market is projected to reach approximately USD 5 trillion by 2030, a conservative figure. The Halal sector spans multiple industries, yet logistics is a critical link, virtually enclosing the entire Halal supply chain. Without logistics, no product can effectively enter the market.
The global Halal market was valued at USD 2.7 trillion in 2024, with the Halal food segment contributing USD 1.43 trillion in 2023 and forecast to reach USD 1.94 trillion by 2028.
Halal Certification
The Halal Logistics certification granted by HALCERT to PCS Ho Chi Minh City on July 30, 2025, affirms that the branch meets international standards through periodic inspections of warehouse hygiene and transportation processes. Established in April 2024 under the management of QUACERT, HALCERT applies assessment criteria such as prohibiting the storage of Haram goods and ensuring strict segregation of Halal products.
Mr. Ramlan Bin Osman noted that if Vietnamese enterprises implement Halal compliance thoroughly in both production and logistics, they will not only access export markets but also earn the trust of Muslim consumers worldwide. With two dedicated warehouses and a separate fleet, PCS Ho Chi Minh City has the operational capability to complete the Halal supply chain, supporting exports, imports, and domestic distribution.
Strengthening strategic position in the Halal Supply Chain
The Halal Logistics certification carries strategic significance, enabling PCS Ho Chi Minh City to reinforce its position within the Halal supply chain. Established on October 21, 2010 with the mission ‘We Deliver Happiness’, PCS Vietnam has built a express delivery and warehousing network, headquartered in Hanoi with a key branch in Ho Chi Minh City. The certification empowers the branch to serve both domestic and international Muslim markets, with a focus on Halal exports and imports of agricultural and seafood products.
This pioneering achievement marks the beginning of a confident logistics supply chain presented with environmental responsibility, enhanced standards, and comprehensive cleanliness at every stage from receiving goods to final delivery.
Guided by a commitment to dedication, quality, and agile standardization, PCS Logistics is ready to connect with Halal markets as part of its long-term growth strategy, aiming to become a strategic operational partner for Vietnamese enterprises exporting Halal products.

With an extensive warehousing network, skilled operational teams, and a service mindset rooted in high standards, PCS is steadily enhancing its specialized logistics capabilities to connect with markets in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and other Muslim-majority countries. In alignment with the Vietnamese Government’s strategy to develop the Halal market as a key pillar for agricultural and food exports, PCS is facilitating market access for businesses through comprehensive operational support and guidance on Halal compliance, creating sustainable and long-term value.
