With a commitment to providing peace of mind to its customers, PCS offers a comprehensive cargo insurance policy that protects goods from risks throughout the entire transportation process. Below are the details of PCS’s insurance policy, helping customers understand their rights and the applicable conditions.

1. Purpose and scope of insurance

PCS’s cargo insurance is designed to protect customer goods from risks during transportation, including:

- Loss of goods: Coverage is available if goods are lost or do not arrive on time at the designated delivery point.

- Damage to goods: Protection for items damaged due to impact, deformation, or loss of original condition during transit.

- Tampering with goods: Coverage is available if goods are partially tampered with during transportation.

- Delay in delivery: This insurance also covers risks associated with delivery delays beyond the committed time frame.

2. Types of goods covered

PCS insures various types of goods, including but not limited to:

- General goods: Consumer goods, industrial products, electronics, and other commonly transported items.

- High-value goods: For items of exceptional value, such as jewelry, artworks, and specialized equipment, PCS provides insurance with higher compensation limits.

However, PCS does not provide insurance for fragile items (such as glass, porcelain, liquids, paints, and inks) or goods with special characteristics that could be seriously damaged during transport.

3. Domestic parcel insurance coverage

PCS provides various insurance coverage levels for goods shipped within the country, as detailed below:

3.1. Express and economy delivery services

Compensation is based on the declared or insured value at the time of shipment, up to a maximum of 30,000,000 VND.

This insurance applies to standard goods during transit. If the customer ships higher-value goods, they must declare the correct value to receive coverage at this level.

3.2. COD (Cash on delivery) Service

Compensation based on the cash-on-delivery amount, declared value, or insured value at the time of shipment, up to a maximum of 30,000,000 VND.

In this service, in addition to insuring the goods, PCS also provides insurance for the cash-on-delivery amount in case of any issues during transportation.

3.3. Freight services

- With Shipping Insurance: Compensation based on the declared insured value.

- Without Shipping Insurance: Compensation of 5,000 VND per kilogram.

Note: To ensure maximum coverage, customers must use PCS’s shipping insurance. Without insurance, compensation will be lower and limited to the weight of the goods.

3.4. Insurance coverage for late delivery

- A 20% reduction in the shipping fee if the delivery is delayed by more than 48 hours.

- Full waiver of the shipping fee if the delay exceeds 96 hours.

Note: Insurance coverage is based on the declared value of the goods at the time of shipment. If the customer fails to declare the correct value, the coverage will be limited, and PCS will only compensate according to the value paid for the shipping service.

4. International parcel insurance coverage

For international shipping services, PCS offers specific insurance coverage based on the weight and type of goods.

4.1. Insurance coverage for international parcels

PCS provides insurance coverage for international parcels based on the actual weight of the shipped goods. Specifically:

Parcel Weight Document Shipment Goods Shipment
Up to 500g 220.000 VNĐ 330.000 VNĐ
500g – 2kg 440.000 VNĐ 770.000 VNĐ
Each additional kg 110.000 VNĐ/kg 220.000 VNĐ/kg
Maximum Coverage 880.000 VNĐ 2.200.000 VNĐ

Insurance coverage for international parcels is calculated based on the actual weight of the goods. For every additional weight, the insurance coverage increases according to the specified levels.

4.2. 100% Compensation for Goods Value

If the customer opts for shipping insurance based on the shipment's declared value (as stated on the invoice), PCS will provide 100% compensation for the goods' value in the event of an incident.

The customer pays the insurance fee for this service. It is calculated based on the actual value of the goods, ensuring comprehensive protection of the goods' value throughout the international shipping process.

5. Insurance conditions

- Accurate declaration of goods value: To receive full insurance coverage, customers must accurately declare the value of the goods when shipping. The insurance coverage is determined based on the declared or insured value at the time of shipment.

- Using insurance: Customers must opt for shipping insurance to ensure maximum protection. If the service is not used, PCS will only protect the goods based on the paid shipping fees, and the compensation will be limited.

- Fragile or special goods: PCS does not insure fragile items such as glass, porcelain, liquids, ink, paints, and other similar items. These types of goods are not covered under PCS's insurance policy.

Insurance policies may vary depending on the specific shipment and the time of dispatch. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the PCS team for detailed and accurate advice!
