On the morning of June 25, 2025, a representative of PCS Logistics participated in the international scientific conference “Accessing the Global Halal Market - Opportunities for Vietnamese Enterprises”, as part of the official Vietnam Halal Week 2025.
Hosted by the Institute for Strategic Policy Research (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and led by MoIT officials, the event served as a strategic platform for PCS to explore future collaboration, enhance Halal logistics expertise, and reaffirm its long-term investment in serving the Halal export sector.
Overview of the Conference
Government support for Vietnamese businesses in the Halal Sector
The event brought together high-level officials, including Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, alongside representatives from the Embassies of Malaysia, the UAE, and Morocco in Vietnam, as well as Halal experts, researchers, and both local and international businesses.

In his remarks, Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long emphasized the growing importance of the Halal economy. Despite Vietnam’s strong export performance in various sectors, the country has yet to fully tap into the potential of Halal markets. He noted that both the Government and MOIT are paying close attention to this opportunity and encouraging Vietnamese businesses to actively participate in the global Halal supply chain.
Halal a growing global market with rising standards
At the conference, Mr. Mato’ Tan Yang Thai, Ambassador of Malaysia to Vietnam, shared that the Halal market is no longer considered niche, but has become a key driver of global economic growth. This transformation, he explained, is being fueled by the expanding Muslim population and a global shift in consumer preferences toward clean, safe, ethical and sustainable products.

According to the Ambassador, the global Halal market is estimated to reach USD 2.71 trillion in 2024, with projections suggesting it could grow to USD 5 trillion by 2030. He highlighted Vietnam’s strong potential in supplying Halal-certified products, especially in categories like fruits, seafood, and high-quality agricultural goods. Some forecasts estimate that Vietnam could export up to USD 30 billion worth of Halal goods to member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
