The event brought together senior leaders from the Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, other ministries, and local authorities, along with ambassadors and representatives of Central and Eastern European countries in Hanoi, as well as Vietnamese ambassadors in the region who joined virtually. The conference also welcomed a large number of business representatives from both sides. PCS Logistics was honored to be among the participating Vietnamese enterprises.

75 Years of enduring tie and growing cooperation

Central and Eastern European countries were among the first to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam. Built on this special foundation, the partnership between Vietnam and the CEE region has grown into a strong, long-standing friendship that continues to thrive in today’s dynamic global landscape.

This conference marked an important milestone for both sides to reflect on the achievements of the past 75 years while outlining future directions for mutual support towards regional peace and sustainable development.

Today, over 137,000 Vietnamese live across Central and Eastern Europe, forming a dynamic, well-integrated community that actively contributes to local economies. This growing presence also brings practical demands for trade, logistics, and cross-border supply chains.

In addition, two-way trade between Vietnam and CEE countries reached nearly USD 8.9 billion in 2024, reflecting stable and positive growth. Notably, countries in this region have played a pioneering role in advancing the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), helping establish a favorable legal and tariff framework for Vietnamese enterprises to gain deeper access to the EU market.

This has also opened up new opportunities for the logistics sector, supporting increasing demand for transportation, warehousing, and distribution between the two regions.
