Recently, PCS Logistics was honored to be featured in the special report “Dong Nai – From a Historic Base to an Industrial and Logistics Hub”, aired on Dong Nai New Day by Dong Nai Radio and Television Station. The report highlights the strong transformation of Dong Nai in industrial and logistics development, while also capturing practical insights from PCS Logistics on the role of logistics in supply chains and local economic growth.
Through the program, PCS Logistics had the opportunity to share its journey of accompanying the business community in Dong Nai, working toward the shared goal of building an efficient and sustainable logistics ecosystem aligned with the province’s long-term development orientation and national growth direction.
Dong Nai from a historic base to a modern industrial foundation
Dong Nai is a land closely associated with Vietnam’s revolutionary history. It was once known as Zone D, the starting point of many important military campaigns that contributed to the Ho Chi Minh Campaign's complete victory, the Reunification Day. Building on this historical foundation, Dong Nai has gradually transformed its economy, establishing a strong industrial base and large-scale production.
In 1963, the Bien Hoa Industrial Complex, the predecessor of Bien Hoa Industrial Zone I, was officially established, marking the birth of Vietnam's first industrial zone. This milestone laid the foundation for the country’s model of concentrated industrial development. Over more than half a century, the industrial zone system in Dong Nai has continued to expand and modernize, attracting strong flows of domestic and foreign investment.
To date, the province has completed planning for 83 industrial zones and 63 industrial clusters, along with related functional areas. Development priorities have increasingly shifted toward depth, with a focus on advanced technology, environmental responsibility, and sustainable value creation. Dong Nai is steadily strengthening its position as one of Vietnam’s key industrial centers.

Logistics infrastructure and new growth drivers for Dong Nai
Alongside industrial development, logistics plays a continuous connecting role across production and trade value chains. With its strategic proximity to Ho Chi Minh City, a diverse interregional transport network, and strong connectivity via road, inland waterways, and seaports, Dong Nai is gradually shaping its position as a regional logistics hub.
In line with development planning, the province has mapped out large scale logistics centers, inland container depots, and modern transshipment and warehousing systems to meet the growing cargo flow generated by industrial zones. Many foreign invested logistics projects have been and are being implemented, contributing to a more complete service ecosystem supporting industrial production.
In particular, Long Thanh International Airport is expected to create a significant boost for logistics and supply chains. Once commercially operational, the airport will enhance international connectivity and expand market access opportunities for manufacturing and import export enterprises across the province.

Modern logistics infrastructure plays a vital role in connecting production, circulation, and international trade, creating new growth momentum for Dong Nai.
