On May 28, PCS Logistics took part in a specialized training program in Ho Chi Minh City titled “Applying Halal Standards to Enter the Promising Middle Eastern Market.” The event was organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in collaboration with the National Halal Certification Center (HALCERT) and attracted businesses from the manufacturing, export and logistics sectors.

This initiative aligns with PCS’s long-term vision of enhancing its operational capabilities to meet international benchmarks with the goal of delivering Halal-compliant logistics services that meet the strict regulatory and cultural requirements of Islamic markets, particularly in the Middle East and the GCC region.

Training objectives and key takeaways

The training took place amid rising demand for Halal-certified goods in the Middle East, South Asia and North Africa markets that play an increasingly strategic role in Vietnam’s export diversification efforts.

The session provided foundational knowledge and practical guidance on how to align logistics operations with Halal standards. Core topics included:

  • Legal frameworks and Islamic cultural principles in global trade

  • Step-by-step process for building a Halal-compliant logistics system

  • Solutions to ensure integrity and traceability across the supply chain

By participating in the program, PCS Logistics staff gained valuable insights to help review and refine existing processes, laying the groundwork for service standardization that meets the stringent requirements of Halal markets.

In Sync with National Priorities

The event coincided with Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính’s official visit to Malaysia and the 46th ASEAN Summit, where he called for bilateral cooperation in Halal certification and trade development.

PCS’s timely involvement underscores its agility and commitment to national economic goals. It’s a forward-thinking move one that paves the way for PCS to become a trusted Halal logistics partner in the global supply chain.
