Job description
As a Sea Freight Customer Service Executive, your role will involve:
Managing Sea Freight shipments

Receive and process import/export sea freight orders.

Handle customer requests for FCL or LCL shipments (booking, schedules, delivery instructions).

Monitor shipment progress from booking to final delivery.

Update clients on vessel schedules, cut-off times, and delivery/collection timelines.

Coordinate with carriers, agents, ports, and the operations team to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
Cross-department coordination

Serve as the communication bridge between clients and internal departments: Sales, Operations, Accounting and Documentation.

Share clear instructions, respond promptly to service requests and follow through on customer needs.

Monitor internal processing and ensure customers are kept well-informed.
Document management & operational support

Review and archive logistics documents such as Booking Notes, HBLs, Manifests, and Invoices.

Work with the documentation team to send accurate documents to clients on time.

Support customers in customs clearance and domestic delivery arrangements.
Customer relationship management

Follow up on customer feedback after each shipment to address issues and improve service quality.

Maintain regular communication with existing clients, providing full information and solutions.

Collaborate with the Sales team to expand the client base when opportunities arise.
Reporting & continuous improvement

Prepare periodic reports on order status, incidents and customer satisfaction.

Recommend improvements to enhance order processing and customer experience.

Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Education & experience
-
College or university degree, preferably in Foreign Trade, Logistics, International Business or a related field.

1–2 years of experience in customer service within international freight forwarding, especially sea freight.
Professional skills

Strong understanding of FCL/LCL shipping processes, ability to coordinate across departments and handle real-world logistics operations.

Proficient in English for reading documents and communicating with international carriers and agents.

Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), experience with order management systems is a plus.
