Job description 

As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for monitoring, reconciling, and controlling figures related to cost of sales, revenue, and accounts receivable. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Reconcile, review, and control cost of sales, and record related expenses.

  • Monitor and control revenue to ensure that all figures are recorded fully, accurately, and on time.

  • Monitor accounts receivable from domestic customers and conduct periodic reconciliations with customers and the Sales Department.

  • Prepare reports on cost of sales, revenue, and profit by hub and route, and analyze the cost-to-revenue ratio.

  • Provide data for management reports as requested by the Chief Accountant and Company Management.

  • Maintain accounting records and supporting documents in accordance with applicable regulations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by your manager.

Job requirements 

To perform well in this role, you should have a relevant academic background, practical accounting experience, and the ability to work effectively with different departments.

  • College degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field.

  • At least 3 years of accounting experience.

  • Experience in cost accounting, accounts receivable, logistics, or transportation is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and good working knowledge of accounting software.

  • Ability to understand and apply relevant accounting and tax regulations.

  • Strong analytical skills and a clear understanding of the relationship between revenue, cost of sales, profit, and accounts receivable.

  • Careful, honest, responsible, and able to coordinate effectively with multiple departments.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.

  • Saturday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

  • Lunch break: 12:00 PM–1:30 PM
